Project updates

The project at Byloss Street is one of about 50 projects being delivered under the NSW Government’s $400 million Fast-Track Housing Construction Package, to help boost economic recovery from COVID-19 in local communities throughout the state.

Construction on the homes began in August 2020 and is expected to be complete in mid-2021.

Terra Firma is the construction partner for the development.

Around 14 jobs will be created as part of this project.

The NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) is transforming three adjoining lots in the Canterbury Bankstown Local Government Area into a modern residential building with nine new social housing units for seniors.

These homes are designed to the highest standards to help ensure residents can safely age in place.

The nine-unit development will have five two-bedroom and four one-bedroom units, along with five car parking spaces.

It is well located close to Chester Hill train station and the local shops, and footpath and roadway upgrades will be undertaken to assist future occupants reach regular bus services.
