Project updates

Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) partnered with Academy Construction and Development to recently complete a two-storey, 10-unit apartment building on Eve Street, Guildford comprising four one-bedroom units and six two-bedroom units for seniors and people with a disability.

Located close to public transport with regular bus services to Parramatta and within walking distance to neighbourhood shopping centres, this $2.99M high-quality development located in the Cumberland local government area has been designed to blend into the surrounding mix of low and medium density residential areas.

This corner site features multiple entries from a re-oriented primary frontage, mature street trees on the streetscape and car parking. All ground level units are suitable for residents with mobility restrictions and can be adapted for occupation by wheelchair users.

The Eve Street renewal project has provided a significant uplift of social housing homes with new, modern fit-for-purpose social housing for up to 16 new senior social housing residents helping them safely age in place.

This project at Eve Street is one of about 50 projects being delivered under the NSW Government’s $400 million Fast-Track Housing Construction Package, to help boost economic recovery from COVID-19 in local communities throughout the state.

Around 15 jobs have been created as part of this project.
