What's happening
Construction began in May 2022 to redevelop the social housing site on the corner of Combermere and Rhoda streets.
Once completed, the 9 2-bedroom and 5 one-bedroom units will be home to up to 17 residents in need.
Close to local schools and local transport, the apartment block features new landscaping in common areas that is maintained with harvested rainwater; air conditioning in each unit; and 2 accessible units for older people and people with disability.
The project will create around 32 jobs.
Barbro Constructions is building the apartments.
