Creating the Charter

The Smart Places Customer Charter captures customer expectations of smart places and has been shaped by direct community input. The draft Charter was co-designed with all three levels of government, industry stakeholders, First Nations people and representatives from a variety of NSW communities.

We asked for public feedback in July 2021, placing the draft on exhibition for four weeks and notifying over 700 people and organisations directly as well as reaching 72,000 people through social media advertising.

Almost 5,000 people visited the Charter website, over 120 people attended a webinar and we received 15 submissions, 23 surveys and 14 interactive comments. Feedback received endorsed the Charter, providing minor constructive improvements that have been addressed in the final version.
