A NSW Government website

Premier's Priorities

Please stay safe and visit the NSW Government website for the latest information on COVID-19 in NSW.

We are creating more lovable communities by making greener places and great public spaces. Quality green, open and public spaces are important to everyone, and help create healthier, happier and more resilient communities. More shade means cooler suburbs, less reliance on air conditioners, and more homes for birds and wildlife.

For more information visit NSW Premier Priorities.

Great public spaces

We’re increasing the proportion of homes in urban areas within 10 minutes’ walk of green, open and public space by 10 per cent by 2023.

Register your tree

Join your community in greening your local area and register any trees, big or small, that you plant.

Greening our city

We're increasing the tree canopy and green cover across Greater Sydney by planting one million trees by 2022.

Everyone Can Play

Everyone Can Play at Parramatta Park

By improving the network of inclusive playspaces across the state, Everyone Can Play offers the people of NSW an opportunity to embrace the diversity within their community.

Paperbark Playground

Paperbark Playground, located in Sydney’s Parramatta, is an inclusive playspace.  At the heart of the Everyone Can Play initiative is the declaration that play is for everyone regardless of age, ability or cultural background.

Paperbark Playground features:

  • sand and water play areas
  • sensory equipment
  • chimes and drums for making music
  • giant ‘explorer dome’ including a maze of nets, ropes, ladders and tunnels.
