A NSW Government website

Updates

  • From November 2020 New South Wales has implemented air quality categories (AQC) and no longer uses air quality indices (AQI) for air quality reporting. More information.
  • Hazard reduction burn (HRB) season has started in NSW. Please monitor Fires Near Me by the RFS for the location of HRBs. Air quality during the cooler months may also be affected by smoke from domestic wood heating. NSW Health and the health activity guide provide information on how to protect yourself from smoke.
  • Live data is always reported in Standard Time (AEST).
