About us

Community engagement

At NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC), we believe all stakeholders should feel represented by the decisions we make.

Through considered engagement and genuine collaboration, we aim to build meaningful relationships and encourage active community involvement across all phases of project delivery.

LAHC believes all stakeholders have a right to be consulted about development projects that may impact them. Our engagement approach is guided by principles of dignity, respect, equality and equity, to ensure meaningful participation from all stakeholder groups.

We want our stakeholders to feel heard and aim to proactively provide opportunities for community feedback. We do this by:

  • actively seeking early input into designs and developments
  • making it easy for stakeholders to give feedback on concept designs
  • communicating openly about how feedback affects decision-making
  • keeping the community informed throughout all phases of project delivery
  • facilitating two-way communications between the community and LAHC
  • being trauma-informed and learning from the lived experiences of social housing residents

If you have any questions or feedback about our approach to community engagement, please contact our team on 1800 738 718 or communityengagement@dcj.nsw.gov.au.
