Canterbury-Bankstown Local Area Analysis

The purpose of the NSW Land and Housing Corporation's (LAHC) local area analyses, is to deliver on the long-term vision set out in the the LAHC Portfolio Strategy.

The local area analyses are a place-based approach, providing a framework and direction to better understand:

  • what stock we have
  • where stock is located
  • the stock condition
  • what opportunities are available for redevelopment.

There are more than 9,800 social housing dwellings owned by LAHC in the Canterbury-Bankstown LGA. LAHC's vision for social housing in the Canterbury-Bankstown LGA includes delivering houses to better meet tenants’ needs located near jobs, shops, transport and services.
