The purpose of the NSW Land and Housing Corporation's (LAHC) local area analyses, is to deliver on the long-term vision set out in the the LAHC Portfolio Strategy.

The local area analyses are a place-based approach, providing a framework and direction to better understand:

  • what stock we have
  • where stock is located
  • the stock condition
  • what opportunities are available for redevelopment.

There are around 3,500 social housing dwellings owned by LAHC in the Lake Macquarie LGA. LAHC's vision for social housing in the Lake Macquarie LGA includes delivering houses to better meet tenants’ needs located near jobs, shops, transport and services.
