Number of priority flood works by valley
The table below outlines the number of unapproved or non-compliant flood works being considered under the Improving Floodplain Connections program. These structures include levees, embankments, above-ground storage, and access roads.

---|---|---|---|---|
5 | 37 | 110 | 78 | 66 |
Compliance pathway outcomes by valley
The table below outlines the compliance pathway outcomes for all flood works in the program. The compliance pathway is determined after an assessment by the Water group and the outcome may be:
- No further action under the program – the flood work either complies with a current approval, no longer exists, or the work is not considered a flood work and is therefore not covered by the program.
- Flood work approval required – the flood work may be approved through assessment of a flood work application by WaterNSW under the Water Management Act 2000. This includes instances where the flood work will require modifications to meet the requirements of the relevant FMP.
- Removal required – the flood work cannot be approved under the Water Management Act 2000 and must be removed.
- Not yet determined – the compliance pathway for the flood work is still being assessed.

The table below indicates the number of flood work applications determined by valley, under the IFC program. Applications for a flood work approval can seek approval for more than one flood work. Applications for a flood work approval are assessed and determined by WaterNSW.
