About storage meters
A sensor and a local intelligence device (LID) together form a ‘storage meter’, which calculates storage volume based on the measured storage level using a storage curve.

LIDs list and specifications
A local intelligence device (LID) is a combined data logger and telemetry unit. It stores and transmits water level data to the data acquisition service (DAS). The LIDs listed on this page are assessed to meet the data logging and telemetry specifications. Your duly qualified person can help advise on sensors and LIDs. The department maintains a list of local intelligence devices.
