NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) is currently building a two-storey, 10-unit apartment building comprising eight one and two two-bedroom units, with parking and landscaping.
The site is 350m walking distance from Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and 1.3 km north-west of Wagga Wagga train station and the city centre.
The established character of the area is low density residential, consisting of older detached single storey and two-storey dwellings. This development responds to the existing and future character of the area and the streetscape.
While contemporary in design, the building incorporates traditional dwelling characteristics such as covered building entries, verandahs and articulated windows to be sympathetic to the surrounding environment.
The building has been designed to comply with local planning controls and will have minimal impacts on neighbouring properties.
