NSW Land and Housing Corporation is working in partnership with TAFE NSW to deliver a two-storey apartment building, consisting of eight one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom social housing units, including two adaptable units for easy accessibility.
It will give up to 28 residents a place to call home.
It’s located close to shops, with direct access to Dubbo town centre and a bus stop. Dubbo TAFE and Dubbo Base hospital is within close proximity.
The development will include a rainwater tank for landscape irrigation and rooftop solar power.
This project has been selected to be constructed by TAFE students as part of the $80 million Apprenticeship Program announced in FY2021. It’s an opportunity for students to get vital on the job training and skills working in the building and construction industry.
Construction of the Myall Street development is expected to be completed by mid FY2024.
