Delivering new dwellings

We completed our vibrant new mixed-housing development in 2021, giving 70 people from a range of backgrounds keys to a new home.

Seven homes are for social housing tenants, and the remaining 34 house teachers, nurses and others on low to middle incomes in the Wollongong local government area.

The complex is within walking distance of local shops, schools and a playground. It is also close to the Wollongong CBD, making it easier for residents to access services and feel a part of their neighbourhood.

The mix of 1- and 2-bedroom units and townhouses are modern in design and are energy efficient, thanks to the input of property and construction company Traders in Purple. All units are accessible to people with limited mobility, the elderly and those with prams.

The social housing units are indistinguishable from other properties in the development and are managed by not-for-profit community housing provider Housing Trust.

Around 55 jobs were created during this project.
