Homes NSW recently completed 10 new dwellings to provide more high-quality social housing across Newcastle.
Theses units on Landa Parade have been designed to be safe, comfortable and accessible for older people, people with disability and those with a pram, meeting Liveable Housing Australia’s silver standard for accessibility.
Located close to public transport, local shops and community services, including the Calvary Mater Newcastle public hospital. A range of parks and reserves are also a short stroll away.
The building also includes low maintenance native gardens and solar panels to help power common areas
The project was funded under the NSW Government’s $400 million Fast-Track Construction Package.
Around 17 new jobs were created as part of this project.
