There are 4 reports that detail the climate and hydrological modelling as well as the economic assessments for the draft NSW Murray Regional Water Strategy. These results intend to inform public understanding and discussion about the shortlisting of options that are presented in the draft NSW Murray Regional Water Strategy:

Public information sessions
Given the inter-connectedness of the NSW Murray and Murrumbidgee regions, and the significant overlap in communities and stakeholder groups, engagement for the strategies is occurring in parallel. Both strategies are on public exhibition from 22 May until 14 July 2024.

The department is consulting on several programs across the NSW Murray region, including the Reconnecting River Country Program and Murray Valley Floodplain Management Plan. These consultation activities do not directly form part of our work to develop the NSW Murray Regional Water Strategy. Next steps
Following public consultation, we will consider the feedback received during community consultation and finalise the strategy by late 2024. We will also develop an implementation plan that will set out when we plan to commence each action and what we plan to achieve by when.
