Claydon review independent assessment

In response to the first activation of the new Barwon-Darling ‘resumption of flows’ rule in January 2021, stakeholders asked for an examination of the department’s implementation of the rule. Stakeholders also asked for an examination of the newly implemented individual daily extraction components (IDECs) and active management.

In response, the department commissioned an independent review into how well the new rules were implemented and what improvements could be made. Greg Claydon delivered the review in September 2021.
