What's happening
We’re delivering 75 new, fit-for-purpose inner-city social housing dwellings at 17–31 Cowper Street and 2A–2D Wentworth Park Road in Sydney’s inner west.
This 8-storey development will transform ageing social housing into 75 modern dwellings. It will have 3 studios; 40 one-bedroom and 27 2-bedroom apartments; and 5 3-bedroom terraces.
Located within walking distance of bus stops and Wentworth Park light rail station, the development will feature green roofs, as well as extensive landscaping, accessible apartments and footpath upgrades.
Construction is underway.
When it’s completed in 2024, it will be home to around 130 new social housing tenants.
Sydney architectural firm Johnson Pilton Walker designed the project, which was inspired by Glebe’s rich history, with expert design advice from The Prince’s Trust Australia.
We are also partnering with Kane Constructions and Bridge Housing on the project.
During its life cycle, the project is expected to create more than 250 jobs.
