What's happening

We’re delivering 75 new fit-for-purpose social homes in the inner-city, at Cowper Street and Wentworth Park Road in Sydney’s inner west.

The development will transform ageing social housing into 2 eight-storey towers and a 3-storey terraced house building. It will include:

  • 3 studio apartments
  • 40 one-bedroom apartments
  • 27 two-bedroom apartments
  • 5 three-bedroom terraces

Located within walking distance of bus stops and Wentworth Park light rail, the development will feature green roofs, extensive landscaping, accessible apartments and footpath upgrades.

Construction is underway. When the development is completed in mid-2025, it will become home to around 130 social housing residents.

Sydney architectural firm Johnson Pilton Walker designed the project, which was inspired by Glebe’s rich history, with expert design advice from The Prince’s Trust Australia.

We are also partnering with Kane Constructions and Bridge Housing on the project.

During its life cycle, the project is expected to create more than 250 jobs.
