Project updates

The project at Hilda Avenue is one of about 50 projects being delivered under the NSW Government’s $400 million Fast-Track Housing Construction Package, to help boost economic recovery from COVID-19 in local communities throughout the state.

Construction on the homes began in August 2020 and is expected to be complete in mid-2021.

Academy Construction and Development is the construction partner for the development.

Around 18 jobs will be created as part of this project.

The NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) is transforming a site in the Liverpool Local Government Area that had three ageing cottages, into a residential building with 12 new social housing units for seniors and people with a disability.

These homes are built to the highest standards, with keen attention to design and materials that better suit the needs of residents now and into the future.

The building consists of four one-bedroom units and eight two-bedroom units, with six car parking spaces.

All ground level units will be suitable for residents with mobility restrictions and readily adaptable for wheelchair use.

The building’s modern design, finished with extensive landscaping and trees, complements the emerging character of the local area and its mix of low and medium density housing.

The homes are close to the Casula shopping mall and within easy distance of the M5 motorway corridor.
