NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) has partnered with Westbury Constructions to develop a two-story apartment building consisting of 15 dwellings, including 14 two-bedroom townhouses, and one one-bedroom villa on Sunnyside Crescent.
Located within walking distance to North Richmond shopping precinct and public school, this $5.26M contemporary development in the Hawkesbury local government area, will provide fit-for-purpose social housing, designed to the highest standards for up to 29 residents.
This development will be a modern expression of medium density development, setting a quality standard for other developments in the area to follow. It will provide an uplift in social housing homes and will feature 120 metres of new street footpath, the preservation of two mature trees in the front yard, an adaptable one-bedroom villa to accommodate wheelchair users, and car parking spaces.
This development is one of about 50 projects being delivered under the NSW Government’s $400 million Fast-Track Housing Construction Package, to help boost economic recovery from COVID-19 in local communities throughout the state.
In line with the NSW Government’s Future Directions for Social Housing plan, this project highlights the NSW Government’s continued commitment to deliver well designed, fit-for purpose homes integrated within the community to create greater diversity and help strengthen support for social housing residents.
Around 26 jobs will be created as part of this project.
