What’s happening

We’re working to deliver 11 new social homes for seniors in southern Sydney.

This development will see 3 ageing social housing cottages transformed into 5 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom units.

Located close to Narwee shops and local train stations, the units will become homes for up to 20 social housing residents.

Designed for seniors and people with disability, the complex features accessible ground-floor units with private gardens, balconies for upper-level units and shared communal spaces. It also offers 5 car parking spaces, including 3 accessible spaces for people with disability.

This project will create about 27 new jobs.

Social Housing Accelerator

This project was announced as the first in NSW to be fully funded by the Commonwealth’s $2 billion Social Housing Accelerator payment.

It’s the first of many in our state that will boost social housing supply and get more people into homes sooner.

NSW will receive a total of $610 million through the Accelerator payment, to deliver around 1,500 more homes and better homes for people in need.
